PREPARATORY STAGE
The preparatory stage for 13 to 15-year-olds Arians is a period of exploration and discovery where Arians begin to take more control over their education. At this stage, Arians are encouraged to pursue their interests and passions, and to start taking more responsibility for their own learning.
- Goal-setting: Arians are encouraged to set goals for themselves, both short-term and long-term, and to work towards achieving those goals.
- Skill-building: Arians are encouraged to develop their skills in areas that interest them, whether that's through classes, workshops, or independent study
- Community-building: Arians are encouraged to build connections with their peers and learning facilitators, both within the school and outside of it.
- Reflection: Arians are encouraged to reflect on their experiences, both in terms of what they've learned and how they've grown as individuals
Overall, the preparatory stage is about helping students develop the skills and mindset they’ll need to be successful in a self-directed learning environment. By encouraging goal-setting, skill-building, community-building, and reflection, students are able to take more ownership over their education and become more engaged and motivated learners
